Rosalie and Carl Del Monte have operated the Matador Oceanfront Resort at 16th and the Beach in North Wildwood, since 1995.
NORTH WILDWOOD - After being held up twice at gunpoint, Carl Del Monte decided he'd had enough.
Del Monte worked as a bank manager in Philadelphia in the 1970s, and the two robberies convinced him and his wife, Rosalie, it was time to leave the big city for the New Jersey Shore.
"We decided we were not going to raise our children in Philadelphia," Carl Del Monte said.
A camera crew from CBS 3 News showed up at the Matador today. They were inquiring about Labor Day Weekend reservations and if the pending Hurricane has affected our bookings. As you can see from the video....we're full....with a waiting list!!!
